...since I last wrote. Goodness me! That was a really long pause but, if you'd like to know what I've been up to, do continue reading this post :)
Well, the thing is... Besides jewelry, I've always wanted to have more products under my brand hence, I've been busy learning and trying so many new stuffs. To start with, I learned bookbinding. I joined 2 workshops conducted by Little Syam, where I learned coptic and kettle stitch binding. There was an earlier post on handbound books that I made with coptic stitch, do check it out if you haven't. And right now, I'm working on a few books with kettle stitch.
Then, I've been wanting to make clutches so, I finally decided to get a sewing machine. But, I've been putting the clutches on hold while I try making other stuffs such as baby blanket, pillow cover and napkins. I also got myself an embroidery machine, and I've been doing some embroidery and appliqué. They're addictive, trust me! :)
So, ever since I started bookbinding and sewing, I've shopped for quite a lot of fabrics (designer cotton, minky, linen, as well as local batik). I have yards and yards of fabrics in my studio now, waiting for me to use them up! I wish to do some patchwork, but I find it difficult for me to get precise cuts using a rotary cutter and this affects the outcome of the fabric piecing. So, I'm currently eyeing the Go! Baby Fabric Cutter, and I look forward to get one soon :)
Ooh, speaking of studio... Well, now I have a proper crafting space. I finally turned the 3rd room into my studio, and I'm pretty much happy about it! :)
And, besides all the above, I still have a long list of things to learn and try! So, I'm gonna take one step at a time and slowly, I will start listing new items in my Etsy shop.
